As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), I’ve had the opportunity to work with adolescents and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings on issues like grief, cancer, gender identity, ADHD, anxiety/depression, anger, perinatal issues and more. I always aim to provide a safe and supportive environment, allowing patients to explore all the feelings and challenges that come up in our daily lives.
Sessions are tailored to my client’s specific needs, and include a mix of therapeutic approaches including: behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eclectic, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) and Brainspotting.
Currently, my focus is with clients in need of perinatal care and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as I am passionate about supporting these groups who are often marginalized and left without a voice. To provide more specialized care, I gained my Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. Additionally, I have completed Phase 1 & 2 of Brainspotting training and will continue on to be fully certified.
My journey began in 2013 when I became a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certified. After graduating from LSU with a Master of Social Work in 2017, I worked in a variety of environments including a radiation oncology clinic, inpatient psychiatric units, private practice and with telehealth.
